American Bully Types or variety is dependent of their height. This height divides them in the following categories:

Classic

They have the average height of 12-20 inches (30-50cm). Their features are very less exaggerated. They are considered to have more features from their parent bulldogs. Of all the 5 breeds that resulted in American Bully, they are considered similar to the American bullterrier and pit bull terrier.

Standard

The standard body type of an American Bully Bulldog is Medium sized. These Bulldogs from this breed are very chunky, short and have a packed compacted body. Due to their physique, their body has a strong and heavy bone structure. This makes the American Bully Bulldog be a little lazy and restricts it as well from doing many athletic activities. They are medium sized with a height of 17 to 20 inches (43 to 51cm)

Pocket

They are smaller in size with a height of 14-17 inches (36-43cm). This type of American Bully Bulldog is shorter and comparatively smaller, hence the name pocket bulldog. Their body is loose. The above mentioned size is the size of a full grown male American Pocket Bully Bulldog. It mean that they do not grow bigger than 14-17 inches as an adult male dog.

They have an average height of an adult dog of any other breed. They range from 20-23 inches (53-58cm). The American XL bully is the largest dog in size and height and other dogs are seen in comparison of this bulldog.

Non-standard sizes

There are many non standard sizes which are bred and were documented. They fall outside the height of mentioned dogs. They are called Micro or XXL dogs but are not recognised by kennel clubs. Being not recognised is not any issue at this point. The American Bully has given a separate club to keep and document the pedigree and any other new update that might arise or needs to be updated. But the non standard sizes such as XXL and Micro are not even recognised by even the American Bully Bulldog kennel club. That is the reason that these sizes don’t have much record and there is very less information on that.
