Appearance:
The Spanish bulldog, also known as Alano Espanol is of Spanish origin. These bulldogs are very different type. They are medium to large and vary in many colours. Spanish Bulldog’s body is large, and it is covered with small hair which are evenly distributed on the body. The skin has a diffused texture of another colour such as black that is scattered all over the skin. Spanish bulldog face possesses the features of bulldog but are somewhat different. They have droopy ears with fold of skin on the face. Fold of skin on the face are most around the eyes and it complements the eyes colour very much. They have an athletic, lean and muscular body with broad shoulders.
Temperament:
Alano Espanol or Spanish bulldog is a dog that can be domesticated. They have a dominant personality. They are good leaders, watch dogs or heard dogs. People have been using them as farm dogs because of their excellent qualities. They can manage heard and provide security. Other than that, they are very friendly and calm. They are protective of their owners. They are not overly dependent on anyone. Instead, they usually provide people around them with a sense of security. Their behaviour with other pets and dogs is usually concerned. But rest assured that they are very easy going with either of them.
Food Habits:
Their body mass is more. So, they need bigger portions of diet. Spanish bulldog’s diet should include a healthy portion of Proteins. It is the most essential part overall. You can always consult with a dog nutritionist for the best and most professional opinion. They are good with manufactured food but in many cases, they should be provided food that is locally sourced.
Cost:
The cost of these bulldog starts from as low as $1000 and up to $2500. Given that Spanish bulldog can perform so many tasks, one can think that this is a very reasonable price for it.
